The Cape Codder Watch

The oak and pine forests of Cape Cod are a large part of the landscape that makes the Cape such a beautiful place.  The scrub white oak tree used to craft this watch grew slowly in the sandy soils of Brewster, MA.   The annual rings of the white oak are subtle. These less distinct annual rings, dissected by radiating rays from the tree's center, embody the "Cape time" experience, where sunshine, summer breezes, and time merge into one.  We thought about removing the hands and hour indicators from the watch for a true "Cape time" experience, but decided keeping them would make for a more useful timepiece. 

The wood dials are hand selected for their character. Each watch is unique and individually numbered. With over two decades of growth rings displayed on each timepiece, hours, minutes, and seconds are juxtaposed against years. Underneath each wood dial sits a Swiss made quartz movement.
