A gift for the fly fishing enthusiast. Crafted using a slice of a Douglas-fir tree branch grown along the banks of Montana's Blackfoot River. The river is inlaid with Mother of Pearl shell. On the back of each watch are the GPS coordinates of the tree that the branch was harvested from. Only 20 watches will be made from each location along the Blackfoot River. In the words of Norman Maclean "Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with my soul and memories and the sounds of the Big Blackfoot River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise. Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it."
The wood dials are hand selected for their beauty and unique annual tree ring history. With at least 40 years of growth rings on each timepiece, hours, minutes, and seconds are juxtaposed against years. Underneath each wood dial sits a Swiss made quartz movement. The watch is enclosed by a high quality stainless steel case and a sapphire crystal. A slice of a tree is a snapshot of its life history. As such, every tree and section of Mother of Pearl shell is unique and will vary in appearance. Hand crafted in the Big Sky Country of Montana.
